Start with the digit 8

So next time you go shopping, remember these critical numbers and know how to avoid purchasing inorganic and GMO fruits. Shop Safe :
This is good to know because stores aren't obligated to tell you if a fruit has been genetically modified .

So if you come across an apple in the store and it's label is 4922, it's a conventional apple grown with herbicides and harmful fertilizers.

If it has a sticker 99222, it's organic and safe to eat.

If it says 89222, then do not buy!!!! It has been genetically modified (GMO).

A man was leaving a cafe with his morning coffee when he noticed a most Unusual funeral procession A funeral coffin was followed by a second one About 50 feet behind the first. Behind the second coffin was a solitary man Walking with a black dog. Behind him was a queue of 200 men walking in Single line. The man couldn't stand his curiosity.

He approached the man walking with the dog, "I am so sorry for your loss, And I know now is a bad time to disturb you, but I've never seen a funeral Like this with so many of you walking in single line. Whose funeral is It?"

The man replied, "Well, that first coffin is for my wife."

"What happened to her?"

The man replied, "My dog attacked and killed her."

He inquired further, "Well, who is in the second coffin?"

The man answered, "My mother-in-law. She was trying to help my wife when the dog attacked and killed her also."

A thoughtful moment of silence passes between the two men. Then the first One asks in excitement, "Can I borrow the dog?"

The man replied, "Join the queue."

Great Hand work at beach in Puri

He says that people gather round to watch him create sand sculptures on the beach at Puri. Encouraged by the interest of passers-by, Pattnaik would go to the beach everyday for three hours each in the morning and evening.

He has since won prizes at international sand sculpture festivals around the world.

His works are mostly based on current world issues, ranging from climate change to world peace.

“For last two years, everywhere I heard about the issues of global warming and climate change, so I started working on these issues,” he said.

He has produced several sand sculptures of US President Barack Obama. On November 2, 2008, he made a sand sculpture of US presidential candidates John McCain and Barack Obama.

November 5, 2008: Sudarsan Patnaik created a sand sculpture congratulating President-elect Obama on his election victory.

Jack and Max are walking from religious service. Jack wonders whether it would be all right to smoke while praying.

Max replies, "Why don't you ask the Priest?"

So Jack goes up to the Priest and asks, "Father, may I smoke while I pray?"

The Priest replies, "No, my son, you may not! That's utter disrespect to our religion."

Jack goes back to his friend and tells him what the good Priest told him.

Max says, "I'm not surprised. You asked the wrong question. Let me try."

And so Max goes up to the Priest and asks, "Father, may I pray while I smoke?"

To which the Priest eagerly replies, "By all means, my son. By all means. You can always pray whenever you want to."

Moral of the story is... The reply you get depends on the question you ask.

Women chooses pet crocodile over husband

An Australian woman, Vicki Lowing, says she divorced her husband after he asked her to give up her pet crocodile, Johnie, which she says is "like a child" to her.

Mrs Lowing, 52, who has hand-raised the one-and-a-half metre reptile for 13 years, gives it the run of the house and even lets it sleep with her son Andrew in his bed.

The trained nurse from Melbourne, Victoria, who had looked after ill and abandoned animals for decades, adopted the crocodile after it was left on her doorstep in 1996 by an anonymous person.

An elderly woman walked into the Bank of Canada one morning with a purse full of money. She wanted to open a savings account and insisted on talking to the president of the Bank because, she said, she had a lot of money.

After many lengthy discussions (after all, the client is always right) an employee took the elderly woman to the president's office.The president of the Bank asked her how much she wanted to deposit. She placed her purse on his desk and replied,"$165,000". The president was curious and asked her how she had been able to save so much money. The elderly woman replied that she made bets.

The president was surprised and asked, "What kind of bets?" The elderly woman replied, "Well, I bet you $25,000 that your testicles are square." The president started to laugh and told the woman that it was impossible to win a bet like that.

The woman never batted an eye. She just looked at the president and said, "Would you like to take my bet?" "Certainly", replied the president. "I bet you $25,000 that my
testicles are not square." "Done", the elderly woman answered. "But given the amount of money involved, if you don't mind I would like to come back at 10 o'clock tomorrow morning with my lawyer as a witness."

"No problem", said the president of the Bank confidently.

That night, the president became very nervous about the bet and spent a long time in front of the mirror examining his testicles, turning them this way and that, checking
them over again and again until he was positive that no one could consider his testicles as square and reassuring himself that there was no way he could lose the bet.

The next morning at exactly 10 o'clock the elderly woman arrived at the president's office with her lawyer and acknowledged the $25,000 bet made the day before that the
president's testicles were square.

The president confirmed that the bet was the same as the one made the day before. Then the elderly woman asked him to drop his pants etc. so that she and her lawyer could
see clearly. The president was happy to oblige.

The elderly woman came closer so she could see better and asked the president if she could touch them. "Of course", said the president. "Given the amount of money
involved, you should be 100% sure."

The elderly woman did so with a little smile. Suddenly the president noticed that the lawyer was banging his head against the wall. He asked the elderly woman why he was doing
that and she replied, "Oh, it's probably because I bet him $100,000 that around 10 o'clock in the morning I would be holding the balls of the President of the Bank of Canada !"

The origin of this Canadian story is unknown but it brings luck to everyone to whom it is sent.

How the Santa Singh took over Rome

About a century or two ago, the Pope decided that all the Sikhs had to leave Italy. Naturally there was a big uproar from the Sikh community. So the Pope made a deal. He would have a religious debate with a member of the Sikh community. If the Sikhs won, the Sikhs could stay. If the Pope won, the Sikhs would leave. The Sikhs realized that they had no choice. So they picked a middle aged man named Santa Singh to represent them. Santa Singh asked for one addition to the debate. To make it more interesting, neither side would be allowed to talk. The Pope agreed. The day of the great debate came.

Santa Singh and the Pope sat opposite each other for a full minute before the Pope raised his hand and showed three fingers. Santa Singh looked back at him and raised one finger. The Pope waved his fingers in a circle around his head. Santa Singh pointed to the ground where he sat.

The Pope pulled out a wafer and a glass of wine. Santa Singh pulled out an apple.The Pope stood up and said, -"I give up. This man is too good. The Sikhs can stay." An hour later, the cardinals were all around the Pope asking him what had happened.

The Pope said, First I held up three fingers to represent the trinity. He responded by holding up one finger to remind me that there was still one God common to both our religions.

Then I waved my finger around me to show him that God was all around us. He responded by pointing to the ground and showing that God was also right here with us.

I pulled out the wine and wafer to show that God absolves us from our sins. He pulled out an apple to remind me of original sin. He had answer for everything. What could I do?

Meanwhile, the Sikh community had crowded around Santa Singh. What happened? they asked. Well, said Santa Singh, First he said to me that the Sikhs had three days to get out of here. I told him that not one of us was leaving.

Then he told me that this whole city would be cleared of Sikhs. I let him know that we were staying right here. Yes, yes,.. and then??? asked the crowd. I don't know, said Santa Singh, He took out his lunch, so I took out mine!

Why The Rich Get Richer and The Poor Get Poorer

I'm sure that you have heard the old saying that goes, "The rich get richer and the poor get poorer". Well, there's a reason why the saying exists, and that's because it is 100% true. The rich do get richer, and the poor do get poorer. But why is that?
First lets take a look at why the rich get richer. The rich have their money working for them. So, they don't need to work in order to make money. Their investments provide them with capital gains or passive income. The rich focus primarily on "capital gains" and "passive income" instead of "earned income". The rich are constantly creating and building assets with the money they have. They create or build more assets to provide them with more sources of passive income. The rich don't need to worry about layoffs or taking days off because they don't work for their money. Remember, passive income is the key to becoming wealthy.
The poor on the other hand focus too much on "earned income". The main source of income for the poor is "earned income", and it usually remains the same amount for a long period of time. In the meantime, the expenses of the poor generally increase over time. A new child comes along, medical bills need to be paid, gasoline prices keep going up, taxes go up, etc. And while all this is happening, the amount of money from a poor persons earned income remains that same. That's why the poor get poorer. The make barely enough in earned income to cover their expenses. The rich on the other hand make well more than enough in passive income to cover their expenses.
If you focus too much on "earned income", you can start making the transition to financial freedom by learning to invest for capital gains and passive income. The poor just keep getting poorer because most of them are afraid to make the leap from earned income to passive income. They are addicted to their earned income, and jump for joy whenever a raise or promotion comes about. Don't become addicted to earned income.

Norwegian ship design is challenging established shipping concepts. Innovative designers have developed a new bow shape that makes vessels safer, as well as reducing their impact on the environment.

The ship Island Constructor was launched in early 2008. This is the largest vessel to date with the revolutionary X-Bow system, which has been developed by the Norwegian Ulstein Group. The new bow design makes the vessels better equipped to tolerate extreme weather conditions, while at the same time having environmental benefits.

“Offshore vessels with the Ulstein X-Bow system are designed to be able to maintain their speed, even in stormy conditions with high waves, since the bows cut through the waves. Another advantage of the design is that the impact of waves on the bow, so-called slamming, is completely eliminated. So far, experience with the X-Bow design indicates that vessels with this system are 4–7% more fuel-efficient than vessels with conventional bows, depending on how they are operated,” comments sales manager Lars Ståle Skoge in Ulstein Design.

The new bow design also means improved safety and comfort for the ship’s crew. “The inverted bow shape means that vessels with this feature have exceptionally soft entry into oncoming waves,” Mr Skoge continues.

The teacher said, "Let's begin by reviewing some American History. Who said 'Give me Liberty , or give me Death'?"

She saw a sea of blank faces, except for Chandrasekhar, who had his hand up: 'Patrick Henry, 1775' he said.

'Very good! Who said 'Government of the People, by the People, for the People, shall not perish from the Earth?''

Again, no response except from Chandrasekhar. 'Abraham Lincoln, 1863' said Chandrasekhar.

The teacher snapped at the class, 'Class, you should be ashamed. Chandrasekhar, who is new to our country, knows more about its history than you do.'

She heard a loud whisper: 'Fuck the Indians,'

'Who said that?' she demanded. Chandrasekhar put his hand up. 'General Custer, 1862.'

At that point, a student in the back said, 'I'm gonna puke.'

The teacher glares around and asks 'All right! Now, who said that?'Again, Chandrasekhar says, 'George Bush to the Japanese Prime Minister, 2001.'

Now furious, another student yells, 'Oh yeah? Suck this!'

Chandrasekhar jumps out of his chair waving his hand and shouts to the teacher , 'Bill Clinton, to Monica Lewinsky,1997'

Now with almost mob hysteria someone said 'You little shit. If you say anything else, I'll kill you.' Chandrasekhar frantically yells at the top of his voice, ' Michael Jackson (RIP) to the child witnesses testifying against him- 2004.'

The teacher fainted. And as the class gathered around the teacher on the floor, someone said, 'Oh shit, we're screwed!' And Chandrasekhar said quietly, 'I think it was the American people, November 4th,2008".(recession)

The tallest man in medical history for whom there is irrefutable evidence is Robert Pershing Wadlow. He was born at Alton, Illinois, USA, on February 22, 1918, and when he was last measured on June 27, 1940, was found to be 2.72 m (8 ft 11.1 in) tall.
Wadlow died at 1:30 a.m. on July 15, 1940, in a hotel in Manistee, Michigan, as a result of a septic blister on his right ankle caused by a brace, which had been poorly fitted only a week earlier. He was buried in Oakwood Cemetery, Alton, in a coffin measuring 3.28 m (10 ft 9 in) long, 81 cm (32 in) wide and 76 cm (30 in) deep.

Wadlow's greatest recorded weight was 222.71 kg (35 st 1 lb) on his 21st birthday and he weighed 199 kg (31 st 5 lb) at the time of his death. His shoe size was 37AA (47 cm, 18½ in long) and his hands measured 32.4 cm (12¾ in) from the wrist to the tip of the middle finger. He wore a size 25 ring. His arm span was 2.88 m (9 ft 5¾ in) and his peak daily food consumption was 8000 calories.

At the age of nine, he was able to carry his father Harold F. Wadlow, later Mayor of Alton, who stood 1.8 m (5 ft 11 in) and weighed 77 kg (170 lb), up the stairs of the family home.

Sony cuts price of PS3 consoles

Sony computer entertainment president, Europe Andy House explains why the media giant has made the move

Sony Entertainment has announced it is reducing the price of its PlayStation 3 games consoles.
In Europe the price has been lowered to 299 euros, in the US to $299 and in the UK to £249.99.
Sony made the announcement at a press conference ahead of the 2009 games convention - Games Com - in Cologne.
It also announced it was ending production of its current PlayStation 3 console in favour of a new lighter, slimmer model with a 120GB hard drive.
Growth of the PlayStation 3 has been slow compared to previous launches, which critics put down, in part, to an expensive price tag compared with its rivals, Microsoft's Xbox 360 at £149 and the Nintendo Wii at £169.

Eleven-year-old aspiring journalist Damon Weaver has secured his "dream" interview with US President Barack Obama.
The young journalist, who already has Colin Powell and Joe Biden under his belt, is a star reporter for Kathryn E Cunningham/Canal Point Elementary School's TV station.
In a wide ranging interview, he asked the president about school dinners, bullying and basketball.
At the end of the interview, Barack Obama agreed to be Mr Weaver's "homeboy", following in the footsteps of Joe Biden.
President Obama will make a keynote address to young people across the country on education, when schools reopen in September.

Janmaashtami, popularly known in Mumbai and Pune as Dahi Handi is celebrated with enormous zeal and enthusiasm. The handi is a clay pot filled with buttermilk that was positioned at a convenient height prior to the event; the topmost person on the human pyramid tries to break the handi by hitting it with a blunt object, and when that happens, the buttermilk is spilled over the entire group, symbolizing their achievement through unity. Various Handis are set up locally in several parts of the city, and groups of youngsters, called Govinda, travel around in trucks trying to break as many handis as possible during the day.

Striped Icebergs

Icebergs in the Antarctic area sometimes have stripes, formed by layers of snow that react to different conditions.

Blue stripes are often created when a crevice in the ice sheet fills up with meltwater and freezes so quickly that no bubbles form.. When an iceberg falls into the sea, a layer of salty seawater can freeze to the underside. If this is rich in algae, it can form a green stripe. Brown, black and yellow lines are caused by sediment, picked up when the ice sheet grinds downhill towards the sea.

Here's a dining concept that'll make your head if not your stomach spin: It's dinner at a table suspended 165 feet in the air with chairs that swivel 180 degrees. Dubbed Dinner in the Sky, the attraction is making its U.S. debut Monday in Orlando at the annual International Association of Amusement Parks and Attractions convention. About 25,000 attendees are expected at the one-stop-shopping event, where the amusement industry rolls out new thrill rides and related products.

The high-flying dining venue was introduced in Europe last year and consists of a platform suspended from a crane. Guests are harnessed into 22 seats, with space in the center for a chef and two helpers. With local officials' blessings, the platform can be transported to just about anywhere the crane can maneuver. One recent spot: in front of the Amiens Cathedral in France, with dinner prepared by a three-star Michelin chef.

"It was like eating with the 12 apostles and Jesus Christ," quips David Ghysels, co-founder of the Belgium-based company. Ghysels sees all sorts of U.S. possibilities for the dangling restaurant, including air space over the Grand Canyon, Niagara Falls and golf courses.. "I think human beings always like to see what's happening from the air," he says. "And there are so many wonderful natural spots in the U.S. Dinner in the Sky could go anywhere."

Where are the restrooms, though?

The restaurant (dinnerinthesky.com) belongs firmly in the special-occasion category, however.

The cost for eight hours is about $11,444 .00not including catering.

INSTALLING A HUSBAND!!!!!

Dear Tech Support ,

Last year I upgraded from Boyfriend 5.0 to Husband 1.0 and noticed a distinct slow down in overall system performance, particularly in the flower and jewellery applications, which operated flawlessly under Boyfriend 5.0 .

In addition, Husband 1.0 uninstalled many other valuable programs, such as Romance 9.5 and Personal Attention 6.5, and then installed undesirable programs such as

CNN 5.0,
CRICKET 3.0 and
POLITICS 4.1.

Conversation 8.0 no longer runs, and Housecleaning 2.6 simply crashes the system.

Please note that I have tried running Nagging 5.3 to fix these problems, but to no avail.

What can I do?

DEAR DESPERATE ,

First, keep in mind, Boyfriend 5.0 is an Entertainment Package, while Husband 1.0 is an operating system.

Please enter command: ithoughtyoulovedme.html and try to download Tears 6.2 and do not forget to install the Guilt 3.0 update. If that application works as designed, Husband1.0 should then automatically run the applications Jewellery 2.0 and Flowers 3.5.

However, remember, overuse of the above application can cause Husband 1.0 to default to Grumpy Silence 2.5, Happy Hour 7.0 or Beer 6.1.

Whatever you do, DO NOT under any circumstances install Mother-In-Law 1.0 (it runs a virus in the background that will eventually seize control of all your system resources.)

In addition, please do not attempt to reinstall the Boyfriend 5.0 program. These are unsupported applications and will crash Husband 1.0.

In summary, Husband 1.0 is a great program, but it does have limited memory and cannot learn new applications quickly. You might consider buying additional software to improve memory and performance.

We recommend: Cooking 3.0
