Palm House Kew Gardens London

The Palm House at the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew. The Palm House (1844–1848) was the result of cooperation between architect Decimus Burton and iron founder Richard Turner, and continues upon the glass house design principles developed by John Claudius Loudon and Joseph Paxton (who designed and built the famous Crystal Palace built in Hyde Park for the World’s Exposition

The Palm House is a greenhouse located in the Royal Botanic Gardens, Kew that specialises in growing palms and other tropical and subtropical plants. Many of its plants are endangered or extinct in the wild.
